Von Berg and Jackson win Wildflower

Heather Jackson dominated the day while Rodolphe Von Berg ended the Jesse Thomas era at the much anticipated return of the Wildflower Triathlon.

After a year's hiatus due to the drought in California, the Wildflower Triathlon, one of North America's most prestigious half-distance races, returned with a bang.

Rudolphe Von Berg ended Jesse Thomas' streak at the famous event at Lake San Antonio thanks to solid swim and bike splits that kept him clear of the man renowned for his dominance of he Wildflower race. Canadian Nathan Killam ended up third.

Heather Jackson took the women's race thanks to a killer run that pulled her ahead of Carrie Lester to take her fourth Wildflower title. Robin Pomeroy rounded out the women's podium.
