Despite blazing hot conditions Jan Frodeno blasted to a course record at the Ironman European Championship in Frankfurt last year. Can he go even faster in Roth on Sunday?

In temperatures that neared 40 C, Jan Frodeno led from start to finish in Frankfurt last year, blazing through a 4:08 bike split and a 2:50 marathon (he began the day with a 46-minute swim) to take the Ironman European Championship in 7:49:58.
If he can go that fast in those challenging conditions, how fast could he go this weekend in Roth on a faster course with another year of Ironman training under his belt? Yeah, we can't wait to see, either.
