November seems to be a good month for Imogen Simmonds, who was born in Hong Kong, was originally British, but represents Switzerland. Last year, as a first year pro, in the month of November she finished finished second at Ironman 70.3 Xiamen, followed that up with another runner-up finish at the Laguna Phuket Triathlon a week later, all followed up another week later with a win at Ironman 70.3 Thailand.

This year she did her Xiamen finish one better, taking the women's title in a wire-to-wire win. Canadian Heather Wurtele managed to rider her way to second into T2, a position she would hold through the run, while American Sarah Piampiano steadily moved herself from eighth out of the water to fourth off the bike to third overall.

In the men's race, American Kevin Collington led out of the water, but found himself amongst a group of three alongside Canada's Trevor Wurtele and Kiwi Guy Crawford that trailed Poland's Molosz Sowinski by just over a minute into T2. Out on the run Collington quickly took control, running his way to the title ahead of Wurtele, which left Sowinski in third.
