The half-distance event will begin with a 1.9 km swim in Lake Lloyd, which is set in the center of the Speedway. The flat, fast bike course will start with a lap of the 5.7 km race circuit before heading out through Daytona into the countryside outside the city. The race finishes up with a 21.1 km run inside the speedway before finishing on a red carpet at the finish line of the famed race course.

In addition to the half-distance race, a series of unique side events will also be part of the "festival," including a pit-stop challenge, a children's race, a short-distance triathlon, a corporate event, a 5 km run/ walk and a relay.

The race will serve as a qualifier for the 2019 Challenge Championship, which will offer a 150,000 Euro prize purse.
