Bevilaqua and De La Parra prevail at Ultraman World Championship

Inaki De La Parra and Kate Bevilaqua both held their leads to take the Ultraman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii.

The Ultraman World Championship wraps up with a double marathon (52.4 miles/ 84 km) -  through that gruelling run Kate Bevilaqua and Inaki De La Parra were both able to hold onto their leads to take the 2016 Ultraman World Championship.

American Rob Gray maintained his second-place position in the men's race, but the big mover on the final day was made by 55-year-old Canadian Tony O'Keefe, who moved into third place thanks to a 7:04:43 split.

Kate Bevilaqua pulled away from another Canadian, 45-year-old Tara Norton, thanks to a 7:59:35 split.
