Now it's official - Laura Philipp says goodbye to Scott and will be on the Canyon Speedmax WMN CF SLX this season. This is the women's version of the triathlon bike ridden by, among others, Patrick Lange, Jan Frodeno, Nils Frommhold, Boris Stein and Lionel Sanders. In addition, her Erdinger teammate Daniela Bleymehl (who we knew as Daniela Sämmler until her wedding in December) is also one of the Canyon riders, as is Australian Sarah Crowley, who won Ironman Hamburg in 2018.
The Heidelberg athlete's motto, "Wake up. Work Hard. Look Hot. Kick Ass." is written on the right chainstay of the her new racing machine. Where Philipp intends to implement the last part of that message is not yet official. She has already qualified for the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii next year.
