Lionel Sanders has won just about every race he’s entered as a pro. Last year was his first time racing here in Kona, and his 14th place finish taught him a lot. He chats about all the lessons he learned from his Ironman World Championship debut and how he’s changed his training for this year. One of his adjustments? Not arriving on the island so early. As Lionel told us: “the island vibe is all fine and dandy if you are on vacation here, but I’m not here on vacation."
