Andreas Raelert hammers in Hungary

Andreas Raelert bounced back from his tough day at the Ironman South American Championship with a big win at the Keszthely Triathlon in Hungary on the weekend.

Coming out of the water just 11 seconds behind Hungary's Balasz Csoke, Raelert blitzed through the bike to enjoy a four minute lead into T2 over Austria's Thomas Steger. Those two stayed in front through the run with Raelert winning the half-distance race in 3:47:05, Steger coming across the line in 3:51:35 and Hungary's Flander Marton rounding out the podium n 3:56:32. Australian Brad Kahlefeldt was fourth.

Austria's Michaela Herlbauer took the women's race in 4:19:00, just 30 seconds ahead of Hungary's Xterra specialist Brigitta Poor. Radka Vodickova (CZE), who is married to Brad Kahlefeldt, finished third.
