Sanders flies to another 70.3 win

Despite a four-minute deficit out of the water, Lionel Sanders rode his way to second by T2, just 53-seconds behind Felipe Barraza. Sanders then ran his way to a six-minute victory. Barraza was only just able to hold off Luciano Taccone, who ran his way to a close third.

Kaye can't hold on

Haley Chura led the way out of the water, but was only 15-seconds up on Alicia Kaye and Barbara Riveros heading out on to the bike. Kaye then rode to a seven-minute lead heading into the run. Three-time Olympian (and two-time Pucon champ) Riveros managed to overcome that deficit on the run, taking the title by 30 seconds over Kaye. Chura hung on for third.
