If there was any doubt about the growth of the sport in Asia, today's announcement from Challenge Family should put that to rest. A new race in Thailand has just been added to the Challenge Family calendar. The race, which will take place on June 25, is set in Nakhon Nayok, a tourist destination located near Bankok.

This will be the second Challenge event in Thailand organized by Tab Agency, which also organizes Challenge Kanchanaburi.  (Details on the Challenge Thailand events are available at: www.challenge-thailand.com) It is the fourth event in the country that is either internationally renowned or part of an international series - in addition to the two Challenge races there's the long-standing Laguna Phuket Triathlon, which will be run for the 24th time in November and also Ironman 70.3 Thailand, which also takes place in Phuket.

“Thailand is one of fastest growing triathlon destinations in the world and we are enjoying an amazing development of Challenge Family with our partner, the Tab Agency," says Challenge Family CEO Zibi Szlufcik. "The new Challenge Nakhon Nayok is close to the capital city Bangkok and surely will become a “must do” destination for athletes from all over the world. The scenic surroundings, easy logistics, beautiful course and the friendly hospitality are ready for athletes, media and the industry to share this experience.”
